Riot Games and AWS are teaming up to deliver fresh esports content.

Riot Games is the first company to use AWS' data analytics for esports broadcasts on League of Legends, Valorant, and Wild Rift events. As part of the collaboration, Riot is selecting AWS as its official cloud artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and cloud services provider. 

The company already uses AWS' services across its games. Now Riot is going to use AWS to enhance its esports broadcasts throughout each competitive season for LoL Esports, the Valorant Champions Tour, and Wild Rift Esports.

Google Launches 'India Ki Udaan' to Mark 75 Years of Country's Independence.

The project - India ki Udaan - celebrates the achievements of the country and is "themed on the unwavering and undying spirit of India over these past 75 years". It was officially launched at a glittering event held at the Sunder Nursery here on Friday in the presence of Union Culture and Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy. 

Google also announced its collaboration with the Ministry of Culture focused on reaching informative online content that showcases the contributions of Indians. The online collection pays tribute to India's rich cultural history and includes iconic moments from the last 75 years. In its 10th year in India, Google Arts and Culture have showcased the country's rich culture in many ways. 

India is now home to 75,000 startups: Piyush Goyal.

"India is now home to 75,000 startups in the 75th year of Independence, and this is only the beginning," union minister Piyush Goyal said in the tweet.  "These numbers tell the power of a vision. A vision to see innovation & enterprise drive growth."

The minister had recently said the country aspires to become the largest startup ecosystem in the world.

On another occasion, Goyal had appealed to startups to get incorporated and listed in India and not leave the country "just for a few dollars more".

Ola and Uber in merger talks; Bhavish Aggarwal meets Uber executives in San Francisco.

Ola and Uber are in talks for a possible merger, according to two sources in the know, who revealed that Ola’s co-founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal met top Uber executives in San Francisco, US recently. Both companies had held conversations four years ago as well when common investor Softbank had pushed for a merger. A deal did not materialize back then. 

However, an Ola statement suggested - We are the market leader in India and are much bigger than other players. Hence, a merger of any kind is completely out of the equation. We believe that India has a lot more opportunities to unlock when it comes to mobility services. After the story was published an Uber spokesperson responded. “We are not, nor have we been, in merger talks with Ola," said an Uber spokesperson.

Airtel to launch 5G services in India before the end of the month.

After waiting for years for 5G connectivity, one of India’s three major telecom operators, Bharti Airtel finally has a launch timeline for the next-gen cellular network technology. “We are delighted to announce that Airtel will commence roll out of 5G services in August. Our network agreements are finalized and Airtel will work with the best technology partners from across the world to deliver the full benefits of 5G connectivity to our consumers,” an Airtel press release noted.

Airtel is in agreement with Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung as network partners to deliver the 5G services in the country. A recent report by TelecomTalk, however, suggests that Jio chairman Akash Ambani has hinted that Jio 5G services will be announced on August 15 on the occasion of India's 75th Independence Day.
