Amazon.com's cloud computing division on Thursday released a suite of technologies aimed at helping other companies develop their own chatbots and image-generation services backed by artificial intelligence. 

 

Microsoft and Alphabet are adding AI chatbots to consumer products like their search engines, but they are also eying another huge market: selling the underlying technology to other companies via their cloud operations.

News 3 : Microsoft launches new Bing AI chatbot for SwiftKey keyboard and Skype

 

Microsoft suggests using SwiftKey's new Bing AI capabilities will help you become funnier on texts.

 

Microsoft launched the new Bing experience back on February 7. Since then, the company has been busy integrating the search engine’s AI features across its products in some form or the other. Earlier this month, the company brought Bing Chat AI to its SwiftKey keyboard for Android in beta, making the chatbot available for the keyboard’s users at their fingertips.

 

Now, the company has announced that the Bing integration on SwiftKey is being rolled out more widely, alongside improved versions of existing integrations across the Bing, Skype, Microsoft Start, and Microsoft Edge apps.

 

News 4 : PhonePe raises another USD 100 million funding from General Atlantic, others 

 

Fintech platform PhonePe has raised an additional $100 million from General Atlantic. The company has confirmed the fundraising.

 

“PhonePe confirms a $100 million additional tranche of investment from General Atlantic, a leading global growth equity firm, and its co-investors as part of our ongoing fundraise. General Atlantic initially invested $350 million in PhonePe in January 2023,” a spokesperson from PhonePe said.

 

In January, it raised $350 million, and in the following month, it raised another $100 million in primary capital from Ribbit Capital, Tiger Global and TVS Capital Funds, at a pre-money valuation of $12 billion.

 

The fintech company plans to deploy these funds to scale up its payments and insurance businesses in the country.

 

News 5 : WeWork India offers employees to surrender up to 25% of vested stock option

 

Co-working major WeWork India on Thursday announced that its employees are eligible to surrender up to 25% of vested stock options. "WeWork India is conducting its first-ever ESOP surrender exercise, offering employees the opportunity to make the most of their vested stock options," the company said in a statement.

 

"As a token of gratitude for the employees' commitment, efforts and faith in the company, team members associated with the company will be eligible to surrender up to 25 per cent of vested stock options," it added. 

 

Karan Virwani, Chief Executive Officer, WeWork India said, the ESOP surrender is yet another step towards wealth creation and empowering people.
